Happy Memorial Day! I'm really glad I had the day off of work today, because I've been completely stressed out. I'm sure I'll have mounds of work when I get back tomorrow, but I'm just not going to think about it until I walk through the door.
Today we were able to go to my dad's for Memorial Day. Jasmine was in good spirits, and her friend Carl was there, too. He's a real cutie pie. He's older than Jasmine but much smaller. You'll have to check out the pics I took of them both. www.amlewis2003.blogspot.com
I have some great news! Adam and I have paid off the Civic! Now we own both cars! Well, as soon as we get our dads' names off the titles. I think we'll have to go to the DMV to do that. Anywho, now we have next to no debt! It's a really great feeling.
Last weekend we saw "110 in the Shade" performed by the Summit Players in our stake. Jonathan had a little role in it. I really enjoyed it. I'd like to be in one of those productions sometime. I remember doing Road Shows as a kid, and I loved it! Maybe Adam and I will try out next time. My nephew and Jason and Sabrina were also in town that weekend. We don't get to see them as much as I'd like. I got some cute pics of the boys and of Jason and Sabrina's huge dogs.
Mike, Adam's dad, got back from China on Friday morning. From what I've heard, he had quite an adventure! He saw Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. He also got sick from the lack of oxygen. He was very thankful to get back and to be able to breathe. He brought back some beautiful wraps and gave one to me. I might just use that as my Halloween costume this year.
Oh yeah, Saturday we saw the new Pirates of the Carribean movie. It was pretty good. A little word to the wise, though...don't leave until after the credits roll. There's a little surprise at the very end. It'll give you more "closure."
I really can't think of anything else that's happened these past two weeks. Have a good one, and check out my pics!

Catie graduated from ECU on May 5th! I was able to go to Greenville with my mom and Chris, and my dad and Meredith met us there. This was the first time I'd been to Greenville, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's actually a pretty small place. That evening we went to a ward party where Catie was playing the drums. Somehow this lady got Chris to come up on stage to hula dance. I couldn't believe my eyes! I recorded it just so I would have proof. The lady kept referring to him as "Chris Also," because the guy next to him was named Chris. When the lady asked him his name, he said "Chris also." It was great! Chris, my mom, and I went to church with Catie on Sunday. She's part of a singles branch. Most of the people had left for the summer, so there were less than 25 people in sacrament meeting! To make it worse, it was Fast Sunday. Needless to say there were several long, quiet moments. I also realized how different it was having no screaming kids. It was really weird! Anywho, check out the pics I took of us. I actually got a really good one of all four of us kids! www.amlewis2003.blogspot.com.
Adam finished up the spring semester of school last week. He starts his first summer session tomorrow. Tomorrow is also the day his new Harris Teeter opens. I suppose that means he'll go back to working nights tomorrow night. *Sigh* The end is in sight!
This past Sunday was Mother's Day. Adam and I cooked dinner for our moms, and I baked a yummy german chocolate cake! Yes, I took a picture of it..not that it's too exciting. I put chocolate chips on it, and Adam said it looked like Darth Maul's head (from Star Wars). Whatever! Mike was unable to participate, because he's in China Yep, that's right, China! I guess he'll be there for another week or so. Exciting!
Oh yeah...Saturday I got my hair chopped off! I know it hadn't been very long since I last got it cut, but I was ready for a dramatic change. It's been long for such a long time. This time I decided to find some pics of the hairstyle I wanted to show the hairdresser. When I showed her the pictures, she said my hair was too fine to pull it off...bummer! So I really didn't know what to do. She worked with me, though, and we took it one step at a time. After she chopped the length off, I told her to taper the front up to my lip. Somehow she ended up cutting it to my nose! I starting freaking out inside, but just let her do her thing. When all was said and done, I really wasn't sure about it. As the day went on, I liked it more. Then I woke up the next morning and totally freaked out. I felt like she butchered my hair! Of course I felt better after I washed and dried it (duh!) Anywho, I really like it now. Now if I can just figure out how to get the back of it looking like how the hairdresser did it....I suppose I'll have to pull out the ol' reliable hairspray.
I can't think of much else that's happened lately. My dad gave us the "ok" to move in with him when our lease runs out at the end of the year, so that's a huge relief. It'll give us time to save up some money, and hopefully Adam will know where he'll be working.
Oh yeah, go see Spiderman III! I thought it was A OK!
Have a good week!

Well, April is now over along with all of the April birthdays. Is this year going by fast, or what?!
Lately I've been busy, tired, and sick. I went home early from work on Tuesday and stayed home all day yesterday. I sure would like to know who gave me this cold! Colds really wipe me out. At least I was able to get some sleep last night thanks to some night-time cold medicine. Now if I could just start tasting things again...
It's been really great having Adam home at night. He's been working the day-shift at the new Harris Teeter for past two weeks and has another two weeks to go. Being on the same schedule allows us to spend much more time together. It's great! I'll be sad when he has to start working nights again. At least it'll all change once he graduates in December. Yea!!
Last Saturday morning I went to a Stake Enrichment Meeting at church. I never go to those things, so I thought I should give it a try. I really enjoyed myself. Mary Bernice was there, too, and we went to the different classes together. I learned a lot about the women of the Bible, finance goals, and disciplining teenagers. So the last one really doesn't apply to me yet, but Marcia Baughan was teaching it, so I had to attend! She was Young Women's President while I was growing up. Anywho, I'm really glad I went, and I think I'll make more of an effort to go in the future.
With all this stuff going on in the news about pet food, Adam and I decided to buy the Kitty some natural cat food. My cousin Caroline posted some stuff on her website about pet food long before the news came into play. I guess I didn't really think much about the food I feed my cat. I just assumed it was good for him. Who knew it was made from animal by-products! So we went to All Pets Considered and checked out their natural cat food. We went with California Natural. It's a bit expensive, but I think it'll be worth it. Once his other food runs out, we'll start feeding him the new stuff. Maybe Conan Oliver will live for 30 years! That would be interesting.
Catie's graduating from East Carolina University on Saturday! I'm really looking forward to going. I haven't been to Greenville once since she's been there. My mom, Chris and I will be staying the night and going to church with Catie on Sunday. It should be a very fun time for all! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is waking up at 6 a.m. Saturday morning... Oh well, at least there's next Saturday!
I've been experimenting with different settings on my camera. Check out some pics I've taken during the past two weeks: http://www.amlewis2003.blogspot.com/ I posted tons of pics, so you have to keep scrolling!
Have a great weekend!
